“My decision to join Greencarrier came after carefully evaluating the company’s vision.”

Grayson Lim Chee Wei joined Greencarrier Consolidators as a Branch Manager for the Singapore branch in 2024. With over 16 years of experience in the logistics industry, Grayson offers a glimpse into his career journey so far and the experiences that led him to Greencarrier Consolidators. Additionally, he brings a fresh perspective on the Singapore market landscape.

Can you share your career journey and the experiences that led you to Greencarrier?

I started my career in the less-than-container-load (LCL) consolidation industry, initially in an operations role, where I spent the first five years honing my expertise in the operational side of the business. After five years, I transitioned into sales and management. Over the next 11 years, I had the opportunity to work with both Singapore-based small to medium sized companies (SMEs) and multinational corporations (MNCs).

“My decision to join Greencarrier Consolidators came after carefully evaluating the company’s vision and potential within the Asian market. I recognized a significant opportunity for growth, not just within the Singapore market, but across Southeast Asia. The region is increasingly becoming a vital hub for global trade, and Greencarrier’s innovative approach and commitment to a more responsible logistics sector made it an ideal fit for my aspirations.”

What have been your immediate priorities for the Singapore branch in your first few months?

In my first months at Greencarrier Consolidators, I’ve focused on understanding Singapore’s market dynamics, optimizing operations for efficiency, and cultivating relationships with internal teams, partners, and clients. My priorities include enhancing logistics processes, identifying growth opportunities, and positioning Greencarrier as a leader in the LCL consolidation sector. By building strong partnerships and laying the groundwork for regional expansion, I aim to drive long-term growth in Singapore and Southeast Asia.

What excites you most about working in the Singapore market and the Asia-Pacific region?

The strategic location and the trade hub that it is. It has such a central location in Southeast Asia and provides access to the fast-growing markets of China, India, and the rest of Asia. Being in Singapore allows us to tap into the trade flows of the region, connecting businesses to global markets more effectively.

There is also a growing demand for logistics solutions in the region, since the Asia-Pacific is experiencing rapid economic growth with several sectors growing at a high rate. I think this is exciting since it presents an opportunity for us to offer tailored, innovative solutions that meet the diverse needs of the market.
