Greencarrier Consolidators strive to act as a responsible partner with both people and planet in mind. We carry a green ambition.
The transport sector accounts for 14% of all energy related C02-emissions globally. This number has more than doubled since the 70’s. In the EU, the transport sector generates 25% of all transport related C02-emissions.
Without action, the number could increase faster than in any other sector. The message is clear from both the EU and many of the member countries. We need to become more efficient and make a shift in technology to reach the goals of a climate-neutral Europe by 2050.
Optimised space for a sustainable planet.
As a neutral consolidator, our main priority is to use space in the best way possible. Optimised container space means fewer empty mileages, lower emissions, less environmental impact –and a more sustainable planet.
We measure and follow up on how we perform on space optimization. Our aim is to achieve 50 CBM per FEU as a minimum standard. This means we always use at least 80% of the total container space.

How we contribute to environmental protection. Environmental protection is on top of our agenda and part of our long-term strategy. The impact of transportation on the environment is inherently negative. That is why it is especially important to us to apply the best environmental practice in everything we do.
How we do business. While the law is the key starting point for any business, acting in an ethical way means distinguishing between right and wrong – and making the right choices. Our ethics underpin all of our decisions. We believe doing business this way will attract and retain customers.

We take our role as a corporate citizen seriously, participating in several CSR projects locally as well as globally with the policy to promote positive development.

Making a difference by working towards the same goals.
In 2015, 193 world leaders in the United Nations agreed to 17 Global Goals for Sustainable Development. If these goals are completed, it would mean an end to extreme poverty, inequality and climate change by 2030. To reach the goals, we all have to get involved, and this is our contribution.
As part of the Greencarrier Group’s ambitions to create a more sustainable tomorrow, we have reviewed all 17 goals and their 169 targets. We have evaluated where we can make most impact, and prioritized the five goals highlighted below.
Giving back to people and planet.
Each year, the Greencarrier Groups sets aside 1% of the profit for Greencarrier Spirit fund. All employees are welcome to apply for money and start up their own CSR project.
Over the years, our employees have passionately turned the money from the fund into several successful and rewarding projects.
There is no distinguish between big or small, local or global projects as long as they live up to at least two of the set criteria:

- Allow us to get involved
- Involve long-term commitment
- Relate to our business
- Ensure donated money is used correctly
- Have a connection to the countries we operate in
